Frost Eagle Trail Run
Frost Eagle Trail Run takes place on Saturday, January 16, 2027, at Soaring Eagle Regional Park in Sammamish, Washington. The event is part of the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series and offers two distance options.
The park covers about 600 acres of forest and wetlands and contains roughly 12 miles of interconnected trails. The trail network is described as a web with a wide Pipeline Trail through the center and many narrow singletrack routes that twist and turn over small bumps. The terrain features short to moderate rolling hills, numerous rocks and roots, and a short section of groomed gravel that can become muddy.
Course layout forms a figure 8 with the primary aid station at the intersection. Runners pass that aid station twice per lap, so half marathoners will pass it four times and 5-mile runners twice. A second aid station for the half marathon is adjacent to the start/finish area. Aid offerings include water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and assorted carbohydrate or salty foods such as cookies, energy bars, gels, chews, chips, bagels, candy, fig bars, and bananas.
Registration is available online and on event day, and runners under 20 receive a $10 discount on pre-registration or event-day prices. The trails remain open to other users during the event, and dogs are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
