Redmond Reindeer Romp

The Redmond Reindeer Romp is a trail running event held at the Redmond Watershed Preserve in Washington. This event serves as the third installment of the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series. The venue is characterized by well-groomed trails, rolling hills, and forests filled with ferns. The terrain features smooth dirt paths with relatively wide trails and few steep sections, making it accessible for those seeking less technical trail conditions.

Participants can choose between two primary distances:

  • 5 miles
  • Half Marathon

The half marathon course consists of two laps of a 6.55-mile loop. Runners at this distance have access to two aid stations per lap, including one at a turnaround point and another near the start and finish area. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and snacks such as candy or chips. While there is no on-course aid station for the 5-mile distance, hydration and food are available at the finish line.

The event features a "Winter Wonderland" themed costume contest with categories for festive individuals and groups. Due to park regulations and sanctioning policies, pets and dogs are not permitted on the course. The preserve is a multi-use area where runners may encounter cyclists or horseback riders.

Offsite parking is required at the Bear Creek Park & Ride, with a shuttle service provided to the start area. Carpools consisting of three or more people may park in the designated lot at the preserve while space remains available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
