About the race
Absolution Run is a trail running event at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, WA. It is part of the 2026/27 Winter Trail Series and offers two loop-based distance options.

The course begins on a wide trail before moving onto swoopy, twisting single track and then dropping down to run along the shoreline of Lake Washington. The return includes an uphill section; 4 mile participants complete one loop and 8 mile participants complete two loops. The aid station is located beside the finish and provides water, an electrolyte drink from Skratch Labs, and a selection of carbohydrate and salty foods such as cookies, energy bar pieces, gels, chews, chips, bagels, fig bars, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and bananas.
St. Edward State Park features natural forest areas, undeveloped waterfront, historic buildings including the former St. Edward Seminary, picnic areas, a children’s play structure, parking, and many miles of trails. There is abundant parking near the event setup, although the closest lot is reserved for hotel staff; organizers may use the Bastyr University northwest lot when park lots fill. A Discover Pass is required to park in the state park lots; parking at the Bastyr northwest lot does not require a Discover Pass.
Events are USATF sanctioned. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Runners are responsible for their own safety and should call 9-1-1 in an emergency. Youth runners under 20 are eligible for a $10 registration discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
