Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Dallas

The Gingerbread Lane holiday race takes place at Oak Point Park (Amphitheater) in Plano, Texas. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes dedicated youth and adult distances set in park and greenbelt surroundings.

Distances offered:

  • Kids Dash : about 50 meters, for children 10 and under.
  • 1 mile, open to all ages.
  • 5K (3.11 miles), chip timed.
  • 10K (6.22 miles), chip timed.
  • Volunteer then Run 5K option, limited to the first 20 sign-ups.
  • Virtual 6.22 mile option.

All finishers receive a holiday-themed race shirt and a finisher medal. The Kids Dash is not timed and includes a tee shirt, medal, and a recognition pin. The 1 mile is not chip timed and includes a tee shirt and medal. The 5K and 10K feature chip timing, first overall trophies for male and female finishers, masters recognition pins, and standard age group awards across multiple age divisions.

On-course aid stations will provide water and assistance. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite, and some dirt paths. Post-race refreshments include holiday cookies and milk. A holiday costume contest offers prizes such as free future event entries, a trophy, and a holiday treats bucket. Volunteer roles include water station, course monitors, finish line helpers, packet pickup, and more; some volunteer positions include race shirts, souvenir medals, and future event entry or a prepaid gift card.
