The primary course uses the River Trail, a 3-mile trail loop that runs along the river. The organizer notes that poisonous snakes and alligators may be on or around the trail. The event provides two aid stations: a halfway unmanned station with water, electrolytes, snacks, and ice, and a main aid station at the start/finish offering ice, electrolyte water, soda, snacks, and fully cooked food.
Tickfaw State Park features over a mile of boardwalks through multiple ecosystems, a nature center with an 800-gallon aquarium, and displays about local animals and culture. Lodging options at the park include 30 improved campsites, 20 unimproved campsites, and cabins or group camp facilities; cabins include basic cookware and linens, while group camp visitors must bring their own dishes and linens.
Race-day food includes a variety of items and vegan options; finish meals are to be determined. Awards and swag vary by distance, including custom plaques, buckles, medals, hoodies, beanies, runner lights, and speed cups. Discounts for military, donors, or first responders require proof within 24 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
