Diablito 50/50 - July 24, 2027
Diablito 50/50 is a trail event at Tickfaw State Park in Springfield, LA offering two distances:
- 50 Miler
- 50K
The course consists of a 4-mile loop that uses the Gum Cypress Trail, Pine Hardwood Trail, River Overlook / Bottomland Hardwood Trail, and River Trail. Runners will pass along the Tickfaw River and more than a mile of elevated boardwalks, experiencing cypress-tupelo swamp, bottomland hardwood forest, and mixed pine-hardwood forest. Wildlife native to the area may be present on or near the trails, including poisonous snakes and alligators.
Tickfaw State Park provides on-site lodging options including improved and unimproved campsites, cabins, and a group camp. Cabins include basic cookware and linens; guests are asked to bring food and personal supplies. Group camp guests should bring their own dishes and linens.
Event amenities include a Dri-Fit race shirt, a speed cup, and a portable power bank charger for all participants. Finishers receive a medal and top awards will be presented by Richter’s Design. Aid is provided with two water stations on course and a stocked Start/Finish aid area with snacks and hydration. A finish line meal of red beans and rice will be served, with vegan options available.
