Trail Running calendar near Venice 2025-2026

Join the Kraken road race in Sarasota on April 12, 2026 for a fun 5k or 10k along scenic routes. Enjoy race shirts, snacks, a finisher bottle opener, live music, vendors and age group awards for a festive Sunday run.

The Funest 50k at Loyce Harpe Park invites runners to tackle twisty singletrack and rolling sand and dirt trails with 50k, 30k and 10k looped races. Limited fields and a $10 donation per entry to Polk County Parks and Recreation.

Run a scenic 5K through maritime hammocks and mangroves at Lovers Key State Park, finishing steps from the Gulf of Mexico. Spot dolphins, shorebirds and turtles while supporting Friends of Lovers Key and the park.

Run wooded, shaded trails at Gator Wilderness Camp in Punta Gorda with 5k, 10k and 15k options plus a Kids Fun Dash and one day virtual race. Proceeds benefit Gator Wilderness Camp School, supporting local boys in need.
