The Turtle Trot 10K & 5K takes place on April 11, 2026, at SunWest Park, 17362 Old Dixie Hwy, Hudson, FL. The race offers these distance options:
- 10K (with timing)
- 5K (with timing)
- 5K (without timing)
Participants may run or walk any distance. This is the fifth annual Turtle Trot and the event is held in memory of a Pasco County Parks staff member who died from complications of COVID-19. Proceeds will support the Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Adaptive and Inclusive Programming (PAIR).
Course and race details
The course follows a paved hiking path around former salt mine areas at SunWest Park. The 5K route consists of one big loop plus one small loop. The 10K is one big loop and one small loop, then repeated. Every registered participant receives a finisher award. The top male and top female in the timed 10K and 5K receive overall awards. T-shirts are offered as an add-on during registration, with proceeds designated for PAIR. Packet pickup is scheduled on race morning and a pre-race meeting will occur before the events.
