Turtle Trot 10K & 5K
The Turtle Trot 10K & 5K takes place on 04/11/2026 at SunWest Park, 17362 Old Dixie Hwy, Hudson, Florida. The event uses a paved hiking path that runs around old salt mines. Participants may run or walk any distance.
- 10K (6.2 miles) timed, four loops, $35 registration fee.
- 5K (3.1 miles) timed, one big loop and one small loop, $20 fee.
- 5K untimed (3.1 miles) one big loop and one small loop, $10 fee.
Online registration is closed and the event is officially sold out; medals are no longer available. An untimed 5K fun run will accept in-person participants with a $10 fee collected for donation to Pasco Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (PAIR). Packet pickup is scheduled for the morning before the event and a pre-race meeting will be held prior to the races.
Every registered participant receives a finisher award. Overall awards are planned for the top male and top female finishers in the timed 10K and 5K. T-shirts were offered as an add-on during registration so registration proceeds could be donated. Proceeds from the event support Pasco County Parks Recreation and Natural Resources Adaptive and Inclusive Programming, whose mission is to offer inclusive and adaptive programming and ensure individuals of all abilities have access to recreational opportunities.
This is the 5th Annual Turtle Trot and is held in loving memory of a local program manager whose life was cut short due to complications of the COVID-19 virus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
