Turtle Trot 10K

Event overview

The Turtle Trot 10K & 5K takes place on April 11, 2026, at SunWest Park, 17362 Old Dixie Hwy, Hudson, FL 34667. The event offers multiple entry options:

• 10K (With Timing)
• 5K (With Timing)
• 5K (Without Timing)

Participants may run or walk any distance. Packet pickup is scheduled on race morning and a pre-race meeting will be held before the start.

Course and awards

The course uses a paved hiking path around old salt mines within SunWest Park. The 5K consists of one big loop and one small loop; the 10K is one big loop, one small loop, then the same sequence again. Every registered participant receives a finisher award. Overall awards are given to the top male and female finishers in the timed 10K and 5K. T-shirts are available as an add-on during registration, with proceeds directed to the event charity.

Charity and note

Proceeds benefit Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Adaptive and Inclusive Programming (PAIR), which provides inclusive and adaptive programming to expand recreational access within county parks. The event is the fifth annual Turtle Trot and is held in memory of a Pasco County Parks staff member who died from complications of COVID-19.
