Caloosa Fest is a trail running event held at the Caloosahatchee Regional Park mountain bike trails in Alva, Florida. The program includes two race distances and on-site vendors and demos during the morning.

  • 5K Trail Race
  • Half Marathon Trail Race

The 5K follows a scenic loop on green trails with a mix of grass, hard-packed trail, and mild single track. The Half Marathon uses long perimeter trail sections, open grass areas, winding single track, and some technical segments. A main aid station is located at the start and finish area and on-course aid with water and electrolyte tabs is provided at miles 3 and 9. Half Marathon runners are required to carry a hydration system such as a handheld, vest, or bottle.

Awards are given for the top three male and female overall in each race, and all participants receive a finisher medal. Packet pickup is offered the evening before at Fleet Feet Fort Myers, 13499 S Cleveland Ave, Ste 209, Fort Myers, FL, and race day packet pickup is also available. The start/finish area provides space for canopy tents and crew support. Parking is inside the Mountain Bike Park on grass and staff will direct arrivals. Run a scenic 5K through Lovers Key State Park on April 18, finishing by the Gulf of Mexico with chances to spot dolphins, shorebirds, and turtles. Proceeds benefit Friends of Lovers Key and park admission is included with registration.
