Ragnar Trail Florida is a two-day, one-night trail relay race. The event is scheduled for December 4-5, 2026. The race takes place at Alafia River State Park in Lithia, Florida, which is approximately 30 minutes from Tampa.

Course Information

The trail relay uses three unique loops. The terrain includes running past palm trees, through giant ferns, and in shaded pine forests. The course traverses equestrian tracks and includes sections of Floridian sand. The park is at sea level with little elevation gain. The total distance for a Standard Team is 126.4 miles, with each runner covering 15.8 miles on average. The total elevation gain is 5,248 feet, averaging 656 feet per runner.

Team Options

Participants form teams. The main team types are:

  • Standard Team: For 8 runners.
  • Ultra Team: For 4 runners.
  • Sprint Team: For 3 runners, taking place over one day.

The event includes a Ragnar Village where runners can spend time when not racing. The village features a campfire, music, yoga, and prize giveaways. The December race has an unofficial holiday theme with festive decor. Activities include a band on Thursday night, s'mores, games, and food trucks.
