Colt Creek State Park Trail Run
The Florida Run at Colt Creek State Park features three distinct trail distances through the natural landscapes of Florida. The courses traverse a variety of terrains, including through pine forests, open meadows, and alongside scenic lakeshores. The routes are designed using well-maintained paths that include winding trails and occasional creek crossings.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Half-Marathon (13.13 miles, 330 ft elevation gain)
- 10K (6.28 miles, 180 ft elevation gain)
- 5K (3.18 miles, 104 ft elevation gain)
The event uses chip timing technology to record accurate results for all participants. Aid stations providing water or sports drinks are positioned along the courses approximately every 2.5 miles. On-course restrooms are available at specific intervals: at one location for the 5K and 10K, and at three locations for the Half-Marathon.
Participants receive race swag and a finisher medal upon completion of their distance. Post-race food and refreshments are provided at the finish line. Awards are presented across several categories, including the top three overall male and female finishers, masters (50+), and multiple age groups starting from under 19 to 80 and over. A run club competition also recognizes the fastest and largest teams across the combined event distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
