Wild Boar Night Run - September 12, 2026
Skunk Ape Events presents a trail half-marathon and a half-marathon ruck at the Green Swamp West Tract in Dade City, FL on September 12, 2026. The event follows an out-and-back route that uses old forest roads, pasture lanes, and the Florida Trail to the McNeil entrance. The course shows modest elevation change (+127 / -127) and is marked with pink flagging that includes reflective tape; flagged areas indicate places not to cross.
An aid station is located at the turnaround near the McNeil Trailhead, about 6.6 miles from the start. Aid station supplies include soda, pickles, snacks, cookies, produce, electrolyte powder, band-aids, and women’s hygiene products. Pickle Pops will be available at the HUB and Fire Berm aid stations, and the Berm aid station will host the Where's the Finish Podcast. One drop bag zone is provided at the turnaround; drop bags must be labeled with the participant’s name and will be returned to the start after the aid station packs up.
Ruck competitors must use a ruck sack only. Civilian weight standards apply: 20 lb if the competitor weighs under 150 lb, 30 lb if over 150 lb. Finisher items include a choice of glassware or cups; top four men and women overall receive awards. Camping at the Green Swamp is free with a required reservation; campsites have picnic tables and fire rings or grills. The event adheres to ATRA standards and is Trail Sisters approved. Registration closes September 10, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
