The turnaround and primary aid station is located at the McNeil Trailhead, about 6.6 miles from the start. Aid station supplies list soda, pickles, gummy candy, chips, snacks, cookies, produce, powdered electrolytes, band-aids, and women's hygiene products. Course marking uses pink flagging with reflective tape; areas not to be crossed are marked with small pink flags.
Ruck competitors follow a civilian weight standard: 20 lb if under 150 lb, 30 lb if over 150 lb; weighted carried in a ruck sack only. Ruck finishers receive a special Wild Boar Night Run patch.
There is one drop bag zone at the turnaround; bags must be labeled with the entrant's name, kept near drawstring size, and will be returned to the start/finish after the aid station packs up. Driving to retrieve a drop bag from the McNeil area is possible.
Camping in the Green Swamp is free with a required reservation; Ashley and Cumpressco campgrounds are suggested. The event adheres to ATRA standards and Trail Sisters approval. Awards include top four men and women overall; finisher items are offered as a choice of pint glass, whiskey glass, mug, or cup, and stickers. A post-race potluck is planned and noted with a $25 fee.
