Skunk Ape Night Run - Dade City, Florida
The Skunk Ape Night Run is a trail race on July 18, 2026, organized by Skunk Ape Events at Green Swamp - West Tract (13347 Ranch Road, Dade City, FL 33525). The course distance is 30K and the event notes there is no cut-off.
The route crosses a range of Florida terrains including pasture lanes, mud, dirt roads, single-track on the Florida Trail, sandy hills, fire berms, grassy horse trails and creek crossings. A section called The Ridge includes notable sunrise and sunset views. Course marking uses reflective tape, pink flagging, and "turn here" signs.
Aid stations are placed approximately every 3 to 5 miles and are stocked with soda, pickles, chips, snacks, cookies, some produce, gummy candies, powdered electrolyte drink mix and basic first-aid and hygiene items. There is one drop bag zone at the Berm Aid Station; bags should be labeled and kept to about the size of a standard drawstring bag and will be returned to the start after the aid station packs up.
Awards recognize the top four men and top four women overall. Finisher items include choice of pint glass, whiskey glass, mug or cup and event stickers; there are no age-group awards or included t-shirts. A post-race potluck is offered for a fee of $15 with a communal food share. Camping in the Green Swamp is free with a reservation requirement.
