Long Haul Course Preview : Lakeland, FL

This event is a course preview and training run for the 2027 LH100 held at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, FL. The preview consists of a single marked loop of 16.8 miles. Participants may complete additional distance on their own, but course markers, signs, and the few water stops will begin to be removed at 1 pm.

A group campground is reserved the night before for those who wish to camp. The campground is primitive, tent camping only, and has no water or electricity. Park entry requires a fee of $3 per person or $4 per vehicle.

On-course support is limited. Water will be available at the run start and at two on-course aid station locations; these stops are unstaffed and provide water only. Participants should bring any food, electrolytes, or other personal supplies they need. Drop bags and coolers should be left in vehicles and kept secure, since the park is open to the public. The course will be marked with signs at major turns and confidence flags until 1 pm.

The preview is open to anyone; prior registration for the 2027 LH100 is not required. Additional meeting details will be provided closer to the event. Registration closes Thu, Dec 3 @ 11:59 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
