- Coyote 10K - 6.2 miles
- Nighthawk 15K Challenge - 5K + 10K back-to-back
Course, requirements and race services
Both live races use loop courses on unpaved trails at Colt Creek State Park. The organizer warns that trail conditions may include soft sand, standing water, mud, rocks, roots, and wildlife. Strollers, baby joggers, and pets are prohibited. All runners in the 5K must wear a battery-powered headlamp.
Race services include a commemorative premium shirt, finisher medals, and a bonus medal for those who register for the Nighthawk Challenge bundle and complete both races. The event uses chip timing with awards three deep in five-year age groups for both events, and it lists top three overall, top masters, and top three in each male and female division. Virtual 15K and virtual 5K-10K options are available. The Nighthawk Challenge notes that runners should be able to run a sub 1:30 10K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
