Sleigh It (12 hour, 6 hour, 4.17 mile, 12 hour relay) : Lake Wailes Park
Sleigh It is a multi-format running event held in Lake Wales, Florida, using a 4.17 mile loop on Lake Wailes. The loop combines grass and asphalt surfaces and runs out from the central Runners Village to a turnaround and back past the village to the west side before returning to the central point. Aid stations are located at each end of the out and back sections. Runners must finish the lap they are on for that lap to count.
Race options include solo timed efforts and a relay:
- 4.17 mile single lap.
- 6 hour solo cut-off, complete as many laps as possible.
- 12 hour solo cut-off, complete as many laps as possible.
- 12 hour relay, teams of up to five, one member runs at a time; teams choose their rotation. Teams must complete eight laps for a finish award.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 4.17 mile, 6 hour, and 12 hour events. Master awards go to the first over 40 male and female finishers. Relay awards go to the top two teams and all team members receive a finish award.
Event services include food at the Runners Village with grilled and smoked items served throughout the day. Participant entries are limited to the first 100 entrants. All runners receive a long sleeve shirt; registering by December 1 2026 guarantees shirt size. Registration closes December 16 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
