The Colt 45 Trail Race takes place on November 21, 2026, at Colt Creek State Park, 16000 State Rte 471, Lakeland, FL 33809. The event offers four distance options on looped trail terrain. Course maps and GPS files are provided for navigation.

  • 60M : The "Colt Double Malt": 45-mile course plus a bonus loop for 60 miles.
  • 45M : The "Original Colt 45": three 14-mile loops plus a 3-mile starter loop.
  • 45K : The "Colt Silver": two 14-mile loops equals 45K.
  • 14M : The "Colt Mini": one 14-mile loop.

Course and race services

Each loop includes three aid stations. The loop between the first and second visits to Aid Station 2 is a little over 5 miles; runners are advised to plan to carry at least a handheld. Aid stations are located approximately at mile markers MM3, MM5.6, MM11, with the start/finish aid station at MM14. Post-race awards recognize the top three male and female finishers for each distance with overall awards; handcrafted medals are provided to other finishers. A post-race picnic area is provided for participants to rest and watch other runners. Course files are available in common GPS mapping formats.
