Trail Running calendar near Minera 2026-2027

A TRA licensed 5 mile trail race on 23 August 2026 at Leigh Sports Village, organised by Leigh Harriers AC with affiliated and unaffiliated entry options.

A 10 mile trail race through Radnor forest in Mid Wales on 23 August 2026, held in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford. The route reaches Black Mixen at 2130 ft and includes forestry roads, moorland and tree covered single track.

A six hour timed circuit in Penistone on an old railway route offering distances from 5 km to an ultra with lap aid stations and finisher medals.

A guided trail run meeting at the Ponderosa cafe that follows an around 7 km route on Llantysilio Mountain via Moel y Faen and Moel y Gamelin. The run moves at a steady pace with regular regrouping stops.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

An evening trail race at National Trust Lyme on 25 August 2026 featuring a single 10K lap with 272 m of ascent, free park admission and on site food vendors.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.

A midweek fell race near Bury covering about 6.5 km with 400 m of climb, held at the Hare & Hounds. The event allows teams, requires a minimum age of 16, and has a 1 hour 10 minute cutoff at Moorbottom Road.

A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

Tackle a classic Pennines fell race in Pendleton on 29 August 2026. The 8 km course packs 457 m of ascent across rough terrain, with on the day entries and homemade cakes and a cosy village pub to reward you.

Trail races from half marathon to 50 miles around Skipton following Pennine Way and Dales Way with mandatory kit and checkpoint support.

A chip timed, multi terrain flat 10 km race around Pershore that starts at Pershore Leisure Centre and finishes in Abbey Park. Entry is online only, limited to 325 places and includes a medal, water and a plum for finishers.

Two lap 5 km around Hugglescote Grange on 30 August 2026, walking children and dog friendly with limited parking and a medal for participants.

A hill race near Porthmadog covering 7.2 km with 564 m of ascent, partially marked and requiring navigational skills and experience. Entry is day only for £5 and teams may enter free.

A 9 mile fell race with about 2,800 ft of ascent visiting Tal y Fan and Moel Lus, featuring five ordered checkpoints and a cut off at CP2. Entry is limited to 100 and online registration opens 1/6/26.

A fell race at Powder House Field near Hebden on 31 August 2026 covering 1.50 miles 3.20 km with about 400 feet 244 meters of climb, featuring a steep ascent, top running and an uphill finish.

Mountain race in the Clwydian Range with a 7.4 km, 380 m course, junior races, and inclusion in Welsh Athletics and North Wales regional championships.

A community running day in Upper Denby with a scenic 5.6 mile senior race and two junior races for children, plus refreshments, prizes and live music.

Scenic 10 km fell race in Eyam with a 3 km junior race, marshalled route, prizes from The Barrel Inn and a post race barbecue and real ale.

A short but steep fell race held during Kilnsey Show on 1 September 2026, featuring a rope-assisted rock chimney descent for seniors, junior crag races with scree descents, limited pre-entry for seniors and specific footwear requirements.
