The GBultras | Ultra Great Britain will take place in Stranraer on Saturday 8 August 2026.

A trail race on the Isle of Arran of roughly 10K with about 600 feet of ascent, mainly on rough footpaths and forestry roads. The route runs to and from Brodick and is held under Scottish Athletics rules.

September 2026

A 40 mile ultra along the River Ayr Way from Glenbuck Loch to Riverside Stadium, with a 2- or 3-person relay option. Water and checkpoint support are provided, drop-bags conveyed, and transport to the start is available for a fee.

A 22.4 mile circular challenge walk from Callander that circumnavigates Loch Venachar with about 1,020 m ascent. The route follows tracks and paths and includes checkpoints at Bochastle and Brig o'Turk.

A varied-terrain 10k around Loch Long near Arrochar on 19 September 2026, organised under UK Athletics rules with chip timing, medals for finishers and category prizes, and post-race prize giving and homemade cakes.

October 2026

A multi-discipline mountain race from Kinlochleven that includes a loch swim, mountain bike sections along the West Highland Way and a run up Ben Nevis and back. Total distance 73 km with 7,874 ft elevation gain.

Mud Madness at Chatelherault Country Park on 4 October 2026 features a 1 km children’s mud run and a 5 km family mud run with obstacles, water hazards and on-course marshals, plus t-shirt, medal and post-race refreshments.

A 57 mile point to point ultramarathon from Glasgow to Edinburgh in October, run mainly on canal towpaths, tarmac and concrete. The race limits entries to 750, features live GPS tracking and checkpoint support with a 16 hour cut off.

Run through Scottish history at the William Wallace Running Festival. Choose between a fast, flat 10km past Stirling Bridge or a family-friendly 1 mile fun run. Both events start and finish at Stirling Cricket Club on 10 October 2026.
