Isle Of Jura Fell Race

The Isle of Jura Fell Race covers a single, classic course. It is a 28 km route with 2,370 metres of climbing over seven summits. There is a cap of 250 places for the event.

The race is described as one of the toughest challenges in British hill racing for its distance.

The John Dare Shield

A special award, the John Dare Shield, is presented to a runner who completes both the Island Peaks Race and the Jura Fell Race consecutively. Nominations are made by participants to the race organisers. The shield was established in memory of John Dare, who died in 2012 while on his way to marshal the event.
