Trail Running calendar near Stockland 2026-2027

Join the Crook Peak Cake Race in Axbridge on Wed 19 Aug 2026 for a spirited 3 mile fell challenge across stunning Somerset hills, finishing with cake and community cheer. On the day entry available for runners aged 14 and up.

Join the Gt. Links Tor Flyer on Dartmoor for a challenging 7.5 km fell race with 388 m of climb, finishing at the Fox & Hounds in Lydford. Open to seniors and juniors with pre and on the day entry.

A summer ultra around Bristol on 22 August 2026 offering 45-mile and 30-mile clockwise routes, self-navigation with GPX, chip timing, electronic tracking from 2026, and bespoke finisher medals.

Trail running at Park Farm Llangattock on 22 August 2026 with 10 km, 10 mile, 20 mile and 32 mile Ultra options across canal, moorland and escarpment terrain. Marked routes, GPX files and multiple aid stations are provided.

The Saturn Running - Cwmdare will take place in Cwmdare on Saturday 22 August 2026. You can run between 5 and 7 hours.

A point to point mixed terrain run from Mayflower Park, Southampton, following The Old Way with a short river boat crossing, historic landmarks, sticker-collecting race bibs and options for coach transport and alternative eco medals.

A trail event in Afan Forest Park offering two measured routes of about 6.5 miles and 10.5 miles with substantial climb and prize categories. A separate one mile Mini Beast for children includes a finisher medal and sweets.

Take a scenic single lap around Wimbleball Lake on varied off road trails with a short tarmac crossing, choosing 5K or 10K. Part of the Wimbleball sports festival with canicross entries, chip timing and finisher medals.

Trail races of 8 and 4 miles take place at Newnham Park near Plymouth in the evening, with canicross options available. Entry fees are modest and proceeds support Bowel Cancer West.

Point to point trail ultras from Llanthony Priory or Abergavenny to Cardiff along the Cambrian Way, with two long-distance options, staffed aid stations and a minimum age of 18.

Steam Challenge on Sunday 30 August 2026 is a timed out and back race along an old train line near Bridestowe with a seven hour limit and medals for finishers. Enjoy undulating off road and paved terrain.

A fell race in Machen of about 7 km with 365 m of ascent, with registration at Machen Welfare Ground and start and finish on Church Street. Entry is £7 on the day and participants must be over 18.

A guided 30 mile trail run around the Jurassic Coast and Isle of Purbeck with about 4600 ft of ascent, following the Purbeck Way and South West Coast Path and finishing on the beach at Studland Bay.

A 30 mile ultra around the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway Walk, mostly on trail with about 4,252 feet of ascent, starting and finishing at Parc Penalta, with three fully stocked checkpoints and no official time limit.

A supported cross moor challenge with 50 km and 30 km routes from Okehampton via Postbridge to Ivybridge, featuring remote terrain, mountain leader support, checkpoint refreshments and a GPX route for navigation.

Haytor Heller is a single lap, off road moorland race of about 6 miles around Haytor Rock with steep climbs, a stream crossing and a strict cut off at Hound Tor. The event has a 350 runner limit and entries open in spring.

Take on the Saints Way Challenge & Ricochet in Looe on 5 September 2026, choosing 28 or 56 mile ultras along Cornwall's scenic Saints Way trail. Expect stocked feed stations, live GPS tracking and finisher medals, with a mandatory kit list.

A running event at Westonbirt Arboretum on 5 September 2026 with 1 mile, 5 km and 10 km routes through varied tree collections; organised by Relish The Great Outdoors and currently showing tickets as sold out.

Join the Ross on Wye Riverbank Run on 6 September 2026 for scenic multi terrain 5k, 10k and a family fun 500m along the River Wye. Flat, fast course, chip timing and medals for all finishers make it perfect for racers and families alike.

Join the Carnival Chase on 6 Sep in Warminster Town Park for 10K, 3K and a 1.2K family, wheelchair and buggy fun run. Enjoy a scenic country lane course by the boating lake, medals for all and a lively event village.
