Crediton Crunch 10K - 2026

The Crediton Crunch is a multi-terrain run of approximately 10 km, with about 90% of the route off road. Surfaces include public footpaths, mowed grassland, private farmland and quiet country roads. The event is organised by Crediton Running Network and is part of the INSTEP Devon race series.

Race headquarters are at Queen Elizabeth School, Barnfield Site, Crediton EX17 3HX. Race HQ will be open to competitors from 08:30 for number collection and bag drop. Competitors must be 18 or older. Entries open on 17 May 2026 and close on 10 September 2026; transfers to another runner are permitted up to 10 September 2026 via the SiEntries account system.

The route starts with a lap of the school fields and then follows a mixture of paths and minor roads. The course crosses a railway via a bridge, runs alongside the River Yeo and passes small hamlets and farms. Direction arrows and kilometre markers will be provided. Some sections run on private land and are not accessible before race day.

Marshals will be placed around the course. Water stations are provided at 5 km and at the finish; this is a cupless event so participants should bring their own bottle or cup. Trail shoes are recommended due to possible mud and slippery ground. Headphones are not permitted during the race.

Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and there is recognition in veteran age categories V40, V50, V60 and V70 plus. Each participant receives a race medal and a goody bag, and spot prizes will be drawn using race numbers. Fancy dress is encouraged and a memorial trophy will be awarded for the best outfit.
