Bude Pirate Run

The Bude Pirate Run is an approximately eight mile off road race around Crooklets and Maer Down in Bude, Cornwall. The route uses coastal path, fields, wooded sections and small stretches of road. The surface can be slippery and muddy after wet weather.

Event headquarters and registration are at Bude Surf Life Saving Club adjacent to Crooklets Beach Car Park. Public parking is available at Crooklets Beach Car Park and at Rosies Café; parking charges apply. Public toilets are at the Crooklets Beach Car Park and outdoor showers are provided at the rear of the toilet block; these are council operated and their availability may vary and incur charges. There is no baggage storage; competitors are asked to leave belongings in their vehicles.

Two water stations will be provided at approximately 3 miles and 6 miles, with additional water at the finish. The event is part of the Cornwall Multi Terrain Series. Race rules prohibit the use of headphones and do not allow runners with dogs. Piratical fancy dress is encouraged. A substantial proportion of money raised will be donated to the Bude Surf Life Saving Club.

Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £18.00 and Non Member £20.00. Entrants may adjust or swap entries via the SiEntries system up to the closing date of 14th September 2025; after that date no alterations, swaps or on the day entries are permitted. No refunds or deferrals are offered.

Coastal trail races along the North Devon and Cornish clifftops offering ultra, marathon and sixteen mile courses, marked and marshalled with first aid and bespoke finisher medals.

A measured 10K from Barnstaple Rugby Club using the Tarka Trail and local pavements, crossing Taw Bridge and Long Bridge and passing Rock Park. The race is chip timed, awards medals and prizes, and offers team entry by individual sign up.

Experience a challenging fell race across the northern moor with distances including a 10 mile route and junior runs. Navigate from Okehampton to Yes Tor in this self navigated mountain event.

A charity trail event on 7 June at Cardinham Woods. The 10 km loop supports emergency service charities and forms part of the Tri County Cup, with firefighters competing and medals for all finishers.
