Event Overview

The Running Events Devon – Steam Challenge is an 8-hour timed event held on Sunday, 30 August 2026. It takes place on Station Road in Bridestowe. Registration operates on a "TUGG" (Turn Up Get Going) system where participants can start at any time between 07:30 and 14:30, but all runners must finish their final lap by 15:30.

Course Details

The course consists of 5.3 km laps on an old, disused railway line. The route is described as scenic and is a mix of off-road and paved surfaces with an undulating profile. Participants can complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit, with even a single lap qualifying as a finish. The event has a capacity of 70 entrants.

Participation

The event is open to all abilities, including walkers and runners. The minimum age for participants is 18 years. Entry closes on 27 August 2026.
