Running Events Devon - Train-ing Challenge 2026

The Train-ing Challenge is scheduled for Saturday 29 August 2026 at Station Road, Bridestowe, EX20 4HF. The event is an 8-hour timed event on an undulating mixed surface course described as off-road and paved, using a scenic out-and-back route on an old disused train line.

The course is configured as laps of 5.3 km each. The event operates a "TUGG" Turn Up Get Going system that allows flexible arrival and lets participants complete as many laps as they can within the permitted event window. Participants who complete at least one lap within the permitted time are recorded as finishers and may collect a medal.

An evening event on 10 June 2026 in Bude organised by Bude RATs, featuring a senior six mile race and two junior one mile races. Proceeds support the RNLI and all races use chip timing.

A mostly flat, multi terrain race of about 4 miles around Dawlish Warren with beach, sea wall and coastal footpath sections. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a complementary ice cream.

A multi-distance coastal event on Mount Edgcumbe peninsula using a roughly 10.6K loop repeated for half and full marathons. Options include 10K, canicross and kids races plus chip timing and finishers medals.

An eight hour timed challenge on a 5.3 km out and back route along an old disused train line near Bridestowe. Turn up within a morning to early-afternoon window and complete as many laps as allowed to earn a medal.
