Running Events Devon - Train-ing Challenge 2026

Running Events Devon stages a timed endurance event on a measured out and back loop of 5.3 km on an old disused train line near Bridestowe. The event is organised as an 8 hour timed challenge using a TUGG (Turn Up Get Going) system that allows flexible starts within the event operating window; all laps must be completed before the event cutoff.

Participants may walk or run and may complete as many laps as they can within the permitted time. Anyone who completes at least one lap within the permitted time is recorded as a finisher and may collect a medal. If the event reaches its maximum number of entrants, later registrants will receive a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day.

The event limits entries to 70 participants and sets the minimum age at 18 years. Entries close on 27 August 2026. Entry fees vary by affiliation and perks: affiliated £32, unattached £34, affiliated without perks £21, unattached without perks £23.

The stated course surface is a mix of off-road and paved sections with an undulating profile. The organiser lists local accommodation options including the Fox & Hounds, which offers rooms, a bunkhouse and camping and serves food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
