Running Events Devon stages the Train-ing Challenge on Saturday 29 August 2026 at Station Road, Bridestowe, EX20 4HF (what3words ///clots.insolvent.inclined). The event takes place at a new venue and is described as an 8 hour timed event on an undulating course that is a mix of off-road and paved surfaces.
The event uses the TUGG Turn Up Get Going system: participants may start at any time during the event entry window and must complete their laps within the overall permitted time. Each lap is 5.3k and follows an out and back route along a scenic section of an old disused train line. Finishers who complete their final lap within the permitted time are eligible to collect a medal.
Entrant numbers are limited to 70 and the minimum age is 18 years. Entries close on 27/08/2026. Entry categories and prices listed for the event are: Affiliated £32.00, Unattached £34.00, Affiliated No Perks £21.00, Unattached No Perks £23.00. When the event reaches capacity later entrants are offered a bespoke medal selected from those available on the day.
