Trail Running calendar near Pontesbury 2026-2027

A 9.6 km fell race near Accrington on 2 May 2027 with 338 m of climb. It is a Category BS event with UK Athletics insurance, open to entrants aged 18 and over with pre entry and on the day options.

Five trail races take place on Sunday 3 May 2026 around Ilmington in the Cotswolds, from 10K up to a 100K ultra, with feed stations, baggage support and route navigation aids for longer distances.

Pretty Muddy 5k at Weston Park is an obstacle course across paths, tracks and grass with some hills and on site parking. Entrants must be at least 13 and take part in staggered wave starts while raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

Multiple trail race distances in the Stroud area using towpaths, disused railway tracks and Cotswold hills, with a route that ascends to Selsley Common for wide valley views. Water, marshals and first aid are provided on course.

Part of the inaugural Welsh Festival Of Running, the 100 Mile Challenge at Dare Valley Country Park gives runners 34 hours to cover 100 miles on a 5 mile loop. Entries are available for individuals and teams, with a timed 34 hour option.

A trail running event on Saturday 29 May 2027 that follows the Heart of Wales Trail from Llandrindod Wells to Craven Arms, with three distances of 48, 24 and 16 miles and waymarking along the route.

A 24 hour trail challenge in Edale on a fixed half marathon loop (23.3 km, 977 m ascent per loop). Runners repeat the loop after an initial clockwise lap, self-manage transitions and entry is limited to 50 participants.

A point to point half marathon along canal towpaths from Wolverhampton to Brindley Place in Birmingham, featuring a 360 metre tunnel, time trial wave starts and floating drink stations every 3 miles.

Two ultra distance races on the Beacons Way in the United Kingdom from 24 July to 25 July 2027, part of the Ultra Great Britain Race Series with live GPS tracking.

A skyrunning mountain event in Eryri's Ogwen Valley on 31 July 2027 from Plas y Brenin, Capel Curig. Three distances 40K, 25K and 15K run on marked technical trails with on course support and chip timing.

A supported 100 mile ultramarathon in the United Kingdom, Cheshire Ring Ultra 100 Mile is scheduled for 25 and 26 September 2027 and is part of the Ultra Great Britain Race Series with live GPS tracking.

A single-day ultra of about 35.5 miles from Wigan to Tarporley, run as Day 4 of the MTC ALBION end to end series. Field is limited and the race enforces a 4.0 mph minimum pace; navigation, tracking and mandatory kit are required.
