Trail Running calendar near Horwich 2026-2027

Final event of Lakeland Paws Season 4 with fully marked 8K and 5K routes around Seat How, chip timing and GPX files. Dogs are welcome with harness rules and some summit sections allow only one dog per runner.

A multi distance event in Avenham Park, Preston offering 10K, half, marathon and an ultra with looped laps, on hard paths by the River Ribble. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and post run refreshments.

Trail run near Scorton, Preston offering 10k and 15k courses across tracks and fields up to Nicky Nook with views over Lancashire. Both routes are fully marked; the 10k has one checkpoint and the 15k has two.

Trunce 3 at Oxspring Playing Field on Mon 11 May 2026 offers a scenic but hilly 6.2 km senior race with 190 m of climb in the Peak District. Entry on the day is £3 with a 3 km over 10 junior race included, part of an eight race series.

Take on the classic Latrigg fell race in Keswick, Lake District on 13 May 2026, a short but steep 3 mile climb with great views. Entry is available on the day for a small fee on a fully flagged route for runners aged 13 and up.

Take on the Caradoc Classic, a scenic 3.5 miles fell race from Church Stretton climbing about 268 m. Part of the local Summer Series, this friendly community event includes junior races and on the day entries.

Tackle the Caw fell race in the Lake District on Wednesday 13 May 2026, 9.3 km with 550 m climb from Broughton Mills. Day of race entry, great views and a classic fell running challenge for all abilities.

Take on the classic Shining Tor fell race in the Peak District on 13 May 2026, a scenic 9.4 km challenge with 311 m of climb. Expect rough trails, great views and a friendly fell running atmosphere for adults of all abilities.

Evening trail races at Constable Burton Hall on 14 May 2026 offering 5km run, 5km walk and a 10km run across pasture, tracks and woodland. The course is marked and includes water stations, parking and post race food options.

Join Rodley Rock up n' Run for a friendly pop up summer race along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal behind the Rodley Barge Pub. Pick a 5k or 10k and celebrate with hot food, a beer and a jumble medal in relaxed village company.

Ultra-Trail Snowdonia by UTMB is a UTMB World Series trail running event in Llanberis, North Wales, offering races from 25 km to 164 km with large elevation gains across technical mountain terrain. It is scheduled for 15 to 17 May 2026.

Join the Hayfield May Queen fell race on Fri 15 May 2026 for a lively village run as part of the May Queen celebrations and the 3 Days in May series. Entry is on the day, with all proceeds supporting the May Queen charities.

A 10K or 10 Mile trail race across Holcombe Moor on 16 May 2026, starting at the Hare & Hounds in Holcombe Brook. Organised by The Sunnywood Project with the National Trust. The event has been cancelled.

A 50k brewery to brewery ultra on 16 May 2026 around Nottinghamshire starting and finishing at Milestone Brewery & Tap in Cromwell. Checkpoints are every 6 to 8 miles, there is a 10 hour cut off and places are limited to 175 runners.

A multi-distance trail event from Skipton with routes on the Dales High Way, River Aire Ultra and Pennine Way, visiting Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar; ultramarathon courses offer trackers and UTMB qualification points.

Run the undulating off road trails of Cannock Chase AONB at the Merrell Cannock Chase Challenge on 16 May 2026. Choose 10K, half, full or a pairs relay on a spectator friendly figure of eight course with water stations and camping.

Starts at The Unicorn Inn in Telford, the route follows Ironbridge Gorge and the Silkin Way. Options include eight miles, sixteen miles or a full marathon and food and ales will be available afterwards.
