Silent Night Race is a challenging night fell run to Chapelfell Top under starlight, testing navigation on rough, pathless terrain. Strict kit and proof of prior off path navigation are required, and entry is adults only.

January 2026

Kick off 2026 at the Wooler Vertical 1k Trail Race on 1 January in Wooler. This 4 miles out and back climbs 1000 feet to the top of Humbleton Hill from The Cheviot Centre for a bold New Year trail challenge.

Start the year with the Nine Standards fell race in Kirkby Stephen on 1 January 2026, a challenging 8 mile course with 549 m of climb across classic Cumbrian hills. Pre entry is required and full FRA kit is mandatory.

Celebrate New Year with the classic Captain Cooks Fell Race in Great Ayton on 1 January 2026. A challenging lap to Captain Cook's Monument across steep muddy trails and forest, organised by volunteers with proceeds to charity.
