Run the Borders follows the waymarked Borders Abbey Way around the Scottish Borders, visiting four ruined abbeys. It offers a full 109K, a 50K and a four person relay with checkpoints, drop bags and mandatory kit.

A short fell race in Burnsall with a steep 274 m climb over 2.4 km. Entry on the day is available for £6 and junior races run alongside village sports.

A multi terrain fell race at Gargrave Show with river crossings, woodland, open moor and a steep ascent of Sharphaw. Events run for juniors through seniors; race entry is free while show admission is charged.

Multi distance trail event in Preston on 23 August 2026, with 10k, half, marathon and ultra options on mainly hard surfaced park paths. Aid stations, bespoke medals and a six hour time limit are included.

A marked 21 km trail half marathon around Derwentwater and nearby fells near Keswick, Cumbria. The single lap hilly course awards medals and category prizes and requires runners to be at least 17 years old.

A 44 km single lap trail around Borrowdale and over Scafell Pike near Keswick on 23 August 2026, with marked lowland sections and an unmarked mountain section where navigation is required.

A five mile trail race at Pennington Flash on 23 August 2026, organised by Leigh Harriers at Leigh Sports Village. The event is licenced by TRA and held under UK Athletics rules, with separate affiliated and unaffiliated entry prices.

A single-lap, multi-terrain trail race of about 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park in Leeds, organised by Valley Striders AC with on-site facilities, age-group prizes and fundraising for St Gemma’s Hospice.

A 21k trail run around Borrowdale based in Keswick, featuring lakeshore trails, woodland singletrack and 550 m of ascent. The course is fully marked, chip timed and supported with hydration and medical cover.

Tackle Roseberry Topping on Wed 26 Aug 2026 in this classic short fell race hosted from Newton under Roseberry. Expect a punchy 2.3 km course with big climb and great views, junior entries welcome and on the day entry available.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.

A midweek fell race near Bury covering about 6.5 km with 400 m of climb, held at the Hare & Hounds. The event allows teams, requires a minimum age of 16, and has a 1 hour 10 minute cutoff at Moorbottom Road.

Experience a traditional Lake District fell race at the Ennerdale Show. This event features an 8 km senior course and various junior races with registration available on the day.

A pop up evening running event in Kirkstall, Leeds offering 5k and 10k routes along canal-side paths. Entry is available on the night or online and runners receive a jumble medal plus food and drink options.

A scenic 10 km trail race on 29 August 2026 around Derwent Walk Country Park, starting and finishing at Blaydon Rugby Club. The event offers chip timing, finishers medals, food vendors and onsite parking.

Join the Arnison Crag Horseshoe fell race in Patterdale on Sat 29 Aug 2026, starting at King George Playing Fields as part of Patterdale Dog Day. A steep 5 km with 300 m climb, entries on the day £5, minimum age 14.

A short fell race of 4 km with about 120 m climb at the Show Field in St John's Chapel. Day entries cost £2 and there are separate junior races for children aged 4 to 12 plus an under 18 category.
