Trail Running calendar near Chorley 2026-2027

A spring trail event at Carsington Water in Derbyshire on 10 April 2027 offering Half Marathon and 10k routes around the reservoir. Routes are marked and GPX is provided; entries include a themed medal and chip-timed results.

A 102 mile trail ultramarathon around Chester with 1590m ascent, 12 supported checkpoints, live GPS tracking and a 32 hour cut off.

Ladies only 13.1 mile out and back trail near Sutton Scarsdale with 200 m ascent, a turnaround aid station, marshal and medic cover, and post race cake and hot drinks.

Flat canal side out and back runs from Granary Wharf along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, offered in 5 km, 10 km and half marathon distances. Routes are traffic free, marshalled, with regular feed stations and finisher medals.

Six hour looped running challenge in Sherwood Pines on Sunday, part of a weekend with the Saturday loop run in reverse; finishers receive a bespoke medal.

A community charity relay at Haverthwaite Station near Ulverston with mixed teams formed on the day and an entry fee of £3 per person. Parking is at the station and a free train service is provided for runners and spectators.

A 20.2 km fell race in Boot, Eskdale, on Sat 24 Apr 2027 with 1455 m of ascent, on-the-day entry for £10 and team entries allowed; the event carries FRA permit insurance and directs surplus entry funds to charity.
