Trail Running calendar near Garden 2026-2027

A Backyard Ultra held May 30, 2026, on an exactly 4.1 mile loop around Mantua Reservoir. Flat, firm-dirt trail with springtime scenery and repeated loops rather than a fixed total distance.

An ultraloop on a hilly 7.7 mile circuit with a strict two hour lap cutoff and self supported format. Laps alternate direction and top finishers receive shoes and per lap cash prizes.

Trail races of 10 km and 5 km start at First Dam in Logan, Utah, following the Bonneville Shoreline toward Green Canyon. Registration includes a t-shirt, medal, SWAG bag, race bib and timed results.

June 2026

A six-race Wednesday evening trail series in the Bear River Mountains with short and long course options. Cumulative time prizes are awarded and proceeds support Cache Trails Alliance trail projects.

Two community 5K trail races on June 4 and September 17 that start at the 27th Street Trailhead. Entry is available for individual races or the full series and proceeds support local trail building and maintenance.

A mountain trail marathon around Logan Peak with steep, rocky singletrack, summit out-and-back, multiple aid stations offering GU Roctane and food, and over 6,000 feet of climbing; a half marathon is planned for 2027.

A trail race series in Eden, Utah with a 5k on June 24, a 10k on July 8, and a half-marathon on July 29, all starting at North Fork Park, Cutler Flats. Individual and series entry fees are available.

A trail run at Mack Park on June 27, 2026 with 11.5 mile and 10K courses featuring asphalt, dirt road, trail, and creek crossings; packet pick up is June 25 and 26 at The Smithfield Rec Center.

July 2026

A Trifecta weekend of obstacle course races at Snowbasin on Mount Ogden, featuring 5 km, 10 km and 21 km courses, a 3,000 foot vertical climb, a kids race and a postrace gondola ride with dining.

Muddy Dash in Salt Lake City on July 11, 2026 is a mud run at Golden Spike Event Center with a 5K course featuring obstacles, mud pits, and slides. The event includes a pre party and an after party with music, food, and beer.

Trail races of 10K, half marathon and 17 miles follow the Bear River greenway and state park near Evanston Wyoming. Courses mix river bottoms, bluffs and plains, include aid stations, and provide finisher shirts and awards.

A summer 10K trail run at Snowbasin Resort on July 12, 2026, featuring steep rocky singletrack and about 3,000 feet of climbing at roughly 2,042 m altitude. The race uses gun time and is part of a Spartan OCR festival weekend.

August 2026

Experience the rugged beauty of the Wyoming wilderness at El Vaquero Loco. Run through the western landscape on technical trails to support local high school athletic programs.

A 53rd annual trail race at Bair Canyon Trail in Fruit Heights on August 1, 2026. The main route is 11 miles, finishers receive medals shirts and refreshments, and participants must arrange their own transport from the finish.

Run The Skyline is a trail running event on August 8, 2026 offering multiple race distances from a half marathon up to 55K. It features separate race pages, a registration option, and an entrants list.

A loop-based Last Man Standing race in Inkom, Idaho, run on a 1.1 mile trail with about 240 ft of climb per loop. Runners must complete each loop within 20 minutes and are eliminated until one remains.

A 50 mile backcountry loop through Upper Logan Canyon that begins and ends at Beaver Mountain Ski Area. Hydration requirements apply, a flexible start time is offered, and camping options are available near the venue.
