The Bear 100 : Logan, Utah to Bear Lake

The Bear 100 is a point to point 100 Mile trail race held on September 25, 2026, marking the event's 28th anniversary. The course runs from the Logan area through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest and the Bear River Range of Utah and Idaho, finishing at Bear Lake. The route passes through pines, golden aspen and red maple stands and follows mountainous, forested terrain.

The event is a qualifier for Hardrock and Western States 100 and is listed on the UTMB index. Entry in 2026 used a lottery process; lottery registration was open November 15 to December 15, 2025 and the lottery was held on December 27, 2025. Registration for the 2026 race closed on December 15, 2025. Entrants and a waitlist were maintained.

To be eligible for the 2026 lottery, runners had to have completed an official 50 mile event in under 16 hours or any 100K, 100 or 200 mile event within the qualifying window December 1, 2021 to December 1, 2025. Qualifying results were verified via official race results sources. An eight hour service requirement (trail work or volunteering at an ultra) applies within the window September 25, 2025 to September 15, 2026; this service need not be completed prior to registering.
