Garden, United States • 15 Aug 2026
Event overview
The White Pine 50 Backcountry Run is a looped 50 Miler in Upper Logan Canyon, Utah, with the start and finish located at Beaver Mountain Ski Area near Garden City. The course follows sections of the Bear 100 route and includes mapped and profiled route information available online. Registration opens on December 1, 2025. The first-place male and female finishers at the 2026 edition receive automatic entry into the next Bear 100.
Course, rules and logistics
The course passes through backcountry terrain and aid stations including Spawn Creek and Tony Grove. Runners must carry a minimum of 2 liters of hydration (4 full soft flasks) when leaving those aid stations, or 1.5 liters if using a filter. The event will allow flexible early Saturday starts for runners concerned about cut-offs. Refunds are available only if a waitlisted runner replaces the entrant; rollovers are not offered. Beaver Mountain may be under construction in 2026, so final start/finish, parking and camping arrangements will be announced closer to the race. Camping is available at Beaver Mountain for a fee, with limited tent sites and car/van/RV parking; nearby dispersed camping and USFS campgrounds are also noted. Showers and flush toilets will be open at the ski area. A runner guide and detailed course notes are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
