White Pine 50 Backcountry Run : Aug 15, 2026
The White Pine 50 is a 50 Miler looped trail race in Upper Logan Canyon near Garden City, Utah. The course starts and ends at Beaver Mountain Ski Area and follows sections of the Bear 100 route through backcountry terrain. A map and elevation profile are provided by the organizer and a GPS file is available for download.
Runners must meet a hydration requirement: a minimum of 2 liters (four full soft flasks) when leaving Spawn Creek and Tony Grove aid stations, or 1.5 liters if carrying a filter. A flexible start option allows runners to begin early on Saturday morning; additional start details and course marking notes are provided in the race materials.
Event policies note that rollovers are no longer offered; refunds are possible only if a waitlist entrant replaces the registrant, and event platform fees are non-refundable. The first-place male and female finishers receive automatic entry into the following Bear 100 through the event's Bear Tag program. The race is also part of a Cache Slam series that awards the fastest male and female across three regional ultra events.
Camping is available at Beaver Mountain for a fee per night with limited tent sites; car, van, and RV camping is permitted in the parking lot. Free dispersed camping and nearby USFS campgrounds are listed in the event information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
