White Pine 50 Backcountry Run

The White Pine 50 Backcountry Run is a 50 Miler on a looped course through Upper Logan Canyon in northern Utah. The course starts and ends at Beaver Mountain Ski Area and follows sections of the Bear 100 route. A map and elevation profile are available and a GPS file can be downloaded from the course map.

Organizers note that Beaver Mountain may still be under construction for the 2026 season, so the exact start and finish locations, parking and camping arrangements will be confirmed closer to race day. Registration closes on Thu, Aug 13 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time.

Mandatory hydration rules require a minimum of 2 liters, which is equivalent to four full soft flasks, when leaving Spawn Creek and Tony Grove aid stations. An alternative allowance is 1.5 liters if the runner carries a filter. A flexible start time policy permits runners to begin early on Saturday morning to address cut-off concerns.

First-place male and female finishers receive an automatic entry into the next Bear 100. The event includes a Fish Slap category with separate prizes. Camping is available at Beaver Mountain for a stated fee per night with limited tent sites, and car, van and RV camping is permitted in the parking area. Dispersed camping and several USFS campgrounds are available nearby. Showers and flush toilets will be open at Beaver Mountain this year.
