Garden, United States • 15 Aug 2026

Course and Distances

The White Pine 50 Backcountry Run is a looped course through Upper Logan Canyon in Northern Utah. The event is a 50-mile race. The start and finish are at Beaver Mountain Ski Area. It follows parts of the Bear 100 course.

For the 2026 edition, there is a hydration requirement for participants: all runners must carry a minimum of 2 liters of water when leaving the Spawn Creek and Tony Grove aid stations.

Awards are given to the fastest male and female finishers in the Cache Slam series, which includes this event along with the Logan Peak and The Bear races. The first-place male and female finishers of the White Pine 50 also receive an automatic entry into the Bear 100.

Additional Information

Camping is available at Beaver Mountain for a fee, with a limited number of tent sites. Car, van, and RV camping is permitted in the parking lot. Showers and flush toilets are available. Free, dispersed camping is available along nearby roads, and there are area campgrounds and lodges.

Race management notes that Beaver Mountain may be under construction during the summer of 2026, so exact start/finish logistics, parking, and camping details will be confirmed closer to the event date. Participants concerned about cut-off times have a flexible start time option, with more details to be provided later. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
