El Oso Loco Trail Race Series
El Oso Loco Trail Race Series is a summer midweek race series running June 3 to July 29, 2026 in Logan, Utah, at Jardine Juniper in Logan Canyon. Events take place on trails in the Bear River Range within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The series was developed to showcase local trails and to increase community involvement in the Adopt-a-Trail program in partnership with Cache Trails Alliance and the local Forest Service district. Registration fees and t-shirt sales support Cache Trails Alliance programs and resources.
Each race offers two course options:
- Short Course: 4 to 5 miles
- Long Course: 8 to 10 miles
Participants may purchase a series pass or register for individual race dates. Series pass holders must choose either the long course series or the short course series and cannot mix for series standings. Individual race registrants may mix course lengths, but times will not combine for series awards. End of season awards will be given to the top three men and top three women in both series; additional age bracket awards may be given. To be eligible for end of season awards a participant must compete in at least five races.
Registration for each race is capped at 125 runners. Series passes and individual race registrations have scheduled on sale and price increase dates, refunds are issued only for cancellations before June 1, and registrations may be transferred to another runner after that date. Dogs are not allowed to run with participants. There are no aid stations on course so runners must carry their own water; water is available at the start and finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
