El Oso Loco Trail Race Series, June 3 to July 29 2026
El Oso Loco Trail Race Series is a summer midweek series on trails of the Bear River Range in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest near Logan, UT. The series was developed in 2023 to showcase local trails and to increase community involvement in the Adopt-a-Trail program through a partnership between Cache Trails Alliance and the local Forest Service. Proceeds from registration and t-shirt sales support CTA staff, programming, and trail resources.
The series consists of six races held across June and July. Each race offers two course options:
- Short Course 4 to 5 miles
- Long Course 8 to 10 miles
Series pass holders must choose either the long course or the short course for the season. Individual race registrants may mix short and long courses, but mixed results do not combine for season awards.
End of season awards will be given to the top three men and top three women by fastest cumulative time for both the long and short courses; participation in all six races is required for these awards. Additional age bracket winners may be awarded. Registration for each race date is capped at 125 runners. Dogs are not allowed to run with participants. There are no aid stations on course; runners must carry their own water and fuel. Water is available at the course start and finish.
Registration details include series pass pricing and individual race fees, sale dates, and a refund policy allowing refunds only for cancellations before June 1, with transfers permitted after that date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
