Antelope Island 50k

Hooper, United States • 18 Oct 2025

Event overview

The Antelope Island Fall Classic is a trail 50K held at Antelope Island State Park with the start and finish at the park marina. Distances offered:

  • 50K (about 31 miles)
  • Half marathon

The 50K has roughly 3,900 feet of elevation gain and a 10-hour time limit. Registration details for 2025 include a reopening date of July 21, 2025 and an entry deadline in October.

Course, aid and logistics

The 50K is one large loop around the island. Key aid stations and approximate mileages from the start include Lower Frary (about 6.1 miles), Fielding Garr Ranch (about 11.7 miles, the only non-start/finish drop bag location), North Sentry (about 15.5 miles, about a 1,000-foot climb), Elephant Head (about 24 miles), and White Rock Bay (around 29 miles). There are two official drop bag locations: start/finish and the Ranch. The course may include an unmarked section between North Sentry and the top of the switchbacks.

Packet pickup and check in are at the large parking lot near the park entry station; the race bib serves as vehicle entry to the island. The race uses hand timing; runners must keep their bib visible at the finish. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times. Camping requires a park reservation; limited volunteer camping is at the start area. Rules include no outside aid, no pacers, no course cutting, and no littering. Finish-line food and a finisher coffee mug are provided; top finishers receive trophies and small cash awards. Weather can be variable, including the possibility of snow.
