Scarecrow Run 5k

Kaysville, United States • 26 Sep 2026

Scarecrow Walk

Scarecrow Walk is a fall event at the USU Botanical Center in Kaysville that runs for nine days from September 26 to October 4, 2026. The event is free to the public and places community made scarecrows along scenic paths in the Varga Arboretum and demonstration gardens. Visitors can vote for their favorite scarecrow using numbered displays and QR codes; a prize will be awarded to the most popular entry.

On the opening day the Farmington Rotary Club hosts a community 5K run. The run follows an off road course through multiple gardens and around the pond. Organizers encourage participants to dress in scarecrow costumes; the race includes awards for top finishers and a costume contest. A shorter walk route winds through the arboretum on both dirt and paved paths and is described as stroller and wheelchair friendly.

The broader festival atmosphere includes food trucks, live music, and a dedicated kids area. Leashed pets are welcome and attendees are asked to remove all waste. The event lists sponsors including Discover Davis, USU Credit Union and Goldenwest Credit Union, and the Farmington Rotary Club. Builder and sponsor programs are available with stated deadlines and pickup dates for scarecrow forms. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
