The race is run on a 1.1 mile loop. Each loop has about 240 ft of elevation gain and includes rolling hills, climbs and descents. The route offers views along the course.

The event format requires participants to complete each 1.1 mile loop within 20 minutes. The clock restarts every 20 minutes. Participants who do not return to the corral within the 20 minute limit are removed from further loops. The cycles continue until only one participant remains and is declared the Last Man Standing.
