Trail Running calendar near Gwynedd 2026-2027

A 6.5 km hill run from Trefonen Village Hall with 150 m of ascent, mixed farmland, woods and country lanes. The partly waymarked course includes varied underfoot conditions and a trig point on Mynydd Myfyr; entry is available on the day.

A 26.4 km hill race from Lampeter Rugby Club with 915 m of ascent and a partially marked course. A relay team option splits the route into three legs and a £500 prize is available for anyone who breaks the course record.

Mynydd Mawr is a midweek race near Caernarfon covering 6.7 km with 450 m of ascent, part of the North Wales Mid Week Series. Navigational skills are required; preregistration is requested and a day-entry fee of £2 applies.

A 5 km fell race near Pengenffordd in South Wales with about 320 m of climb and a route that requires navigational skills. Junior races are available from age 7 and the event is insured by the WFRA.

A 50 miles trail run around Telford that visits Ironbridge and the Wrekin, with varied trails, four stocked checkpoints and mandatory kit requirements. There is a 9PM cut off and an entry fee is listed.

A 6.4 km fell race at Calon y Cwm camping, Cilycwm, with 244 m ascent on a partially marked route through fields, wet forest, tracks and rocky ground. Entry on the day £7; minimum age over 16.

A mountain fell race of 13 km and 1550 m ascent finishing at Yr Wyddfa Summit, requiring navigational skills and prior mountain experience. Registration is in Llanberis with compulsory coach transfer to the Ogwen start.

A long fell race of 32 km with 2870 m ascent finishing at Yr Wyddfa Summit that requires navigational skill and significant mountain experience; pre-entry includes coach travel, GPS tracking and a souvenir mug.

Run among the deer herds of Tatton Park on scenic mixed-terrain trails. Choose from 5k, 10k, or half marathon distances for this wildlife-rich trail event. All finishers receive a medal and refreshments.

An approx 9 km multi terrain loop around Llys y Fran Reservoir organised by TROTs, featuring marshals, a water stop, a tail runner and a bespoke medal. Minimum age 15 and refunds are allowed up to seven days before the event.

June 2026

A weeklong running series from 1 to 6 June 2026 featuring timed races, distinctive medals and post-race activities. Open to entrants aged 16 and over with entry, refund and transfer rules managed via the Nifty Entries portal.

Experience a diverse 6 mile race featuring beach road and track surfaces at Wirral Country Park. This established multi terrain event is organized by local UKA clubs and offers a unique mid week running experience.

A midweek fell race at Tyddyn Llwyn Camp Site near Porthmadog, covering 5.9 km with 349 m climb. The AS-classified course is partly waymarked, part of the North Wales Mid Week Series, and includes junior categories.

A 6 km fell race near Pontesbury school with 354 m ascent, part of the Shropshire summer series. Pre-entry and on-the-day entry are offered with fees of £7 and £10; a junior race takes place on the same evening.

Deestriders ORGP Race 1 is a multi terrain, approximately four mile race on 4 June 2026 at Care & Repair NE Wales in Shotton. Entry is £10 or £8 for affiliated club members and the field is limited to 200.

A multi-distance fundraiser at TF4 3HZ with 8 mile laps that form 16 mile and marathon options, a mixed paths-and-tracks route through the Valley of Ironbridge, and a playful fancy dress tradition. Entry fees are listed from £30 to £42.

A marathon along the North Wales Pilgrim Trail at Tir Gwyn, Pwllheli on 6 June 2026. Entry is for age 18 and over and costs £64 plus a 6% booking fee; entries close 30 May 2026.

Moel Hebog is a fell race from Beddgelert covering 6.7 km with 750 m of ascent. Navigation and experience are required; entry is £5 on the day and competitors must be over 18.

A clockwise 18 km fell race with about 1200 m of ascent across unmarked upland terrain. It requires strong navigational skills, full kit and visiting four checkpoints in order with possible cut offs and vetting.

A 7.3 km mountain race with 400 m of climb on Mynydd Graig Goch, part of the North Wales Mid Week Series. The course is partially marked and requires navigational skills; juniors race from a separate HQ near Llyn Cwm Dulyn.
