Mynydd Graig Goch is a mountain running event covering 7.3 km with approximately 400 m of climb. It is part of the North Wales Mid Week Series and carries an AS safety grading. The course is partially marked; local knowledge is beneficial and navigational skills are required. The minimum age for the main race is over 15.

The route begins outside the school in Nebo, follows the road and turns right up Allt y Mast to a gate. Runners follow pink markers on the ascent, then veer right at the mapped green circle toward the summit where there is a Gwynedd flag. The descent generally follows small pink markers, passes a lake, goes over a step over stile and through a gate before returning to the school via track and road. The hill terrain includes a narrow trod through heather, a very rocky summit and a first half of the descent that is moderately technical.

There is a separate juniors event with categories u8, u10, u12 and u14; junior HQ is at the layby near Llyn Cwm Dulyn rather than at the school. Junior entry is £2 on the day only; pre-registration rules state registration by Sunday 20:00 with no payment required and no entry on the day for pre-registrations.

Access is via Ffordd Nebo only. Parking is limited and mainly used by helpers at the school; car sharing is recommended. Cash will be accepted at the school for cakes and drinks with proceeds to the village committee and Ysgol Nebo. Competitors must remember their race number or pay a £5 fee and still sign in. The event is insured by WFRA.
