A 50 mile run around Croagh Patrick near Louisburgh, County Mayo, with a route that includes Sheefrey Pass, Tawynard Forest and Doolough Valley. Single entry tickets are listed at €87.50 and online sales close May 10, 2026.

The 19th Clare Burren Marathon Challenge takes place on 23 May 2026 in the Burren near Ballyvaughan, County Clare, featuring a full marathon, half marathon and two 10 km options across limestone pavements with notable flora.

June 2026

New for 2026, the Croagh Patrick Uphill is a sharp mountain race up Ireland's sacred peak, climbing 770 m in about 3.8 km. Part of the Connaught Weekend and Irish Uphill League, it offers a bold challenge for mountain runners.

The Mweelrea will take place in Clooncarrabaun on Saturday 13 June 2026. You can run 11 kilometers.

Tackle the new Bangor Erris Trail in County Mayo, a challenging 34 km with 750 m of climb and limited route markings. Part of the inaugural Connaught Weekend, this wild run requires Level C kit and bans GPS.

August 2026

The Nephin will take place in Lahardaun on Saturday 1 August 2026. You can run 7 kilometers.

Explore Knockma in County Galway on Wednesday 12 August 2026 with the IMRA Galway League, featuring a fully marked 9.6 km main route plus short and junior races. Volunteer run event so helpers are welcome.

September 2026

Diamond Hill in County Galway on Saturday 5 September 2026 is a classic Connemara hill race with fully marked routes and a 440 m climb. Choose a 7.1 km or 2.9 km course and enjoy stunning views as part of the Galway League.

November 2026

Explore the wild Connemara on a scenic but testing 30 km mountain run along the Western Way from Maam to Leenane, with rugged trails and big climbs. The course is fully marked, requires mandatory kit and includes bus transfers from Leenane.

May 2027

A 35.7-mile point-to-point ultra from Ballyvaughan to Galway, the MTC ENBARR is Day 7 of the MizMal® series. Entrant numbers are limited, mandatory kit and tracking are required, and a 4.0 mph minimum average speed is enforced.

A 46.7 mile ultra on 16 May 2027 from Westport Woods Hotel and Spa to Murphys Hotel in Tobercurry. Part of the MizMal End to End series, entries are limited and the event enforces cut offs based on a 4 mph minimum average.
