Mám Éan is an IMRA mountain race near Loigín car park in Derryvealawauma, County Galway on Saturday 16 May 2026. The main route is an out and back of 8.3 km with 350 m climb, plus a 3.7 km junior course.

A 50 mile run around Croagh Patrick near Louisburgh, County Mayo, with a route that includes Sheefrey Pass, Tawynard Forest and Doolough Valley. Single entry tickets are listed at €87.50 and online sales close May 10, 2026.

A running event in the Burren, County Clare on 23 May 2026 offering a full marathon, half marathon and a 10 km run or walk, set along Ballyvaughan seafront amid distinctive rocky limestone scenery.

A Backyard Ultra at Kilcornan Woods sends runners out on a 6.7 km marked loop every hour until one runner remains. The mixed terrain course requires Level C mandatory kit and offers limited camping and basic on site facilities.

June 2026

Uphill mountain race on Croagh Patrick in County Mayo on 12 June 2026, with long, short and kids courses. The route is fully marked, GPS is not allowed, and Level B mandatory kit is required.

A 10.7 km mountain race on Mweelrea in County Mayo with 766 m of ascent, largely unmarked terrain and a mandatory Level C kit list. The final 1 km to the summit is marked and must be followed both ways.

A mountain loop from Connemara Caravan and Camping Park with long and short courses, rocky scrambles, ridge running and coastal views; Level C mandatory kit required and GPS is not permitted.

August 2026

Nephin is a mountain race in County Mayo with a 7.35 km route and 736 m ascent on a fully waymarked path. Level B kit is mandatory and a short junior out and back course is provided.

Knock Ma in County Galway features a fully marked 9.60 km mountain course with 359 m climb and a 4.00 km short option. Level B mandatory kit is required and GPS use is not permitted.

Diamond Hill in County Galway on 22 August 2026 offers a fully marked mountain route of 7.10 km and a 2.90 km short course with 440 m of climb. GPS is not allowed and Level B mandatory kit is required.

November 2026

A 30 km section of the Western Way in County Galway on 14 November 2026, with about 710 m ascent. The fully marked route allows GPS and requires Level B mandatory kit; final carrying instructions are given at registration.

May 2027

MTC ENBARR is a single day ultra of 35.7 miles from Ballyvaughan to Galway. It is Day 7 of the MizMal fourteen day end to end series, features competitor tracking and issues a finisher medal.

A single-day ultramarathon of about 52 miles from Clifden to Westport, MTC Gancanagh is Day 9 of the MizMal® series. The field is capped at 40, mandatory kit and 4.0 mph cut-offs apply, with organiser tracking and checkpoint support.

A single day ultra of about 47 miles along the MizMal route from Westport Woods Hotel & Spa to Murphys Hotel, Tobercurry. Entry is limited to 40 runners and cut off points use a minimum average speed of 4 mph.
