Mám Éan is an IMRA mountain race near Loigín car park in Derryvealawauma, County Galway on Saturday 16 May 2026. The main route is an out and back of 8.3 km with 350 m climb, plus a 3.7 km junior course.

A running event in the Burren, County Clare on 23 May 2026 offering a full marathon, half marathon and a 10 km run or walk, set along Ballyvaughan seafront amid distinctive rocky limestone scenery.

A Backyard Ultra at Kilcornan Woods sends runners out on a 6.7 km marked loop every hour until one runner remains. The mixed terrain course requires Level C mandatory kit and offers limited camping and basic on site facilities.

A mountain running event near Limerick with a **12.20 km** route and 627 m ascent, plus a **4.90 km** short course; route is fully marked to the summit, GPS allowed, and Level B mandatory kit is required. Parking costs €2.

A mountain running event in County Clare to the Moylussa summit, offering a 10.7 km long course and a 4.4 km junior course, with GPS allowed and Level A mandatory kit including a showerproof jacket.

August 2026

Knock Ma in County Galway features a fully marked 9.60 km mountain course with 359 m climb and a 4.00 km short option. Level B mandatory kit is required and GPS use is not permitted.

Diamond Hill in County Galway on 22 August 2026 offers a fully marked mountain route of 7.10 km and a 2.90 km short course with 440 m of climb. GPS is not allowed and Level B mandatory kit is required.

November 2026

A 30 km section of the Western Way in County Galway on 14 November 2026, with about 710 m ascent. The fully marked route allows GPS and requires Level B mandatory kit; final carrying instructions are given at registration.

May 2027

A 44.4 mile single day ultra from Limerick City Hotel to Dough, Miltown Malbay, forming Day 5 of the MizMal Ireland series. Limited to 40 entrants, maps and tracking are provided to entrants and all finishers receive a bespoke BANSHEE medal..

MTC ENBARR is a single day ultra of 35.7 miles from Ballyvaughan to Galway. It is Day 7 of the MizMal fourteen day end to end series, features competitor tracking and issues a finisher medal.

A single-day ultramarathon of about 52 miles from Clifden to Westport, MTC Gancanagh is Day 9 of the MizMal® series. The field is capped at 40, mandatory kit and 4.0 mph cut-offs apply, with organiser tracking and checkpoint support.
