The MTC ENBARR is a single day ultra covering a total distance of 35.7 miles and is listed as Day 7 of the MTC MizMal fourteen day end to end of Ireland. It forms part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge series and runs from Hylands Burren Hotel, Ballyvaughan to the Nox Hotel, Galway. Competitors entering MTC ENBARR will run alongside MizMal participants on the same route.

Entry is restricted to a maximum of 40 competitors, with 20 places allocated specifically to this race plus an additional allowance of 20 places for MizMal entrants. Entry fees are stated as £90 for the standard entry and £155 for the Plus Race Package, which includes an embroidered race shirt and a lightweight hi viz jacket if ordered in time. All payments and deposits are non refundable; a personal cancellation insurance option and a defer option for a fee are available at booking.

The race has preset cut offs based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 miles per hour; competitors who fall below this minimum may be withdrawn. Organisers provide competitor tracking devices with SOS functionality and supply route maps and GPX files to entrants by email four weeks before the event. The event is cup free; competitors must carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone and basic first aid. A running event in the Burren, County Clare on 23 May 2026 offering a full marathon, half marathon and a 10 km run or walk, set along Ballyvaughan seafront amid distinctive rocky limestone scenery.

A Backyard Ultra at Kilcornan Woods sends runners out on a 6.7 km marked loop every hour until one runner remains. The mixed terrain course requires Level C mandatory kit and offers limited camping and basic on site facilities.

Knock Ma in County Galway features a fully marked 9.60 km mountain course with 359 m climb and a 4.00 km short option. Level B mandatory kit is required and GPS use is not permitted.
