MTC ENBARR

MTC ENBARR is a long-distance ultra run taking place on 13 May 2027. The route runs from Hylands Burren Hotel, Ballyvaughan to the Nox Hotel, Galway and covers 35.7 miles (the event is also listed as 36 miles). The race forms Day 7 of the Mount to Coast MizMal end to end series.

Entry is limited to 20 race-only places with an additional allowance of 20 MizMal competitors for a maximum of 40 participants. The organisers operate preset cut-off points based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 miles per hour and will withdraw competitors who fall below this standard. All finishers receive an ENBARR medal and male and female champions receive trophies.

Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants by email approximately four weeks before the event. Organisers supply each competitor with a tracking device that allows real-time monitoring and includes an SOS function. The event is cup free so competitors must bring a reusable cup.

Mandatory kit required for each competitor includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid items and emergency food. Competitors should carry suitable clothing and equipment for varying weather conditions and ensure they meet the event age requirement and fitness expectations set by the organisers.
