Race Overview

The MTC ENBARR is a 36 mile ultramarathon. It is also the seventh day of the Mount to Coast MizMal ®, a fourteen-day, end-to-end running challenge of Ireland.

Route Details

The route starts at the Hylands Burren Hotel in Ballyvaughan, County Clare, and finishes at the Nox Hotel in Galway. It follows the MizMal ® route provided by Wild Atlantic Cycling. The total distance is listed as 35.7 miles. There are four official checkpoints along the course.

Logistics and Rules

The event has a strict cutoff policy requiring a minimum average pace of 4 mph. Race numbers are limited to 20 participants for the single-day event, with an additional 20 spaces reserved for competitors undertaking the full MizMal ® challenge. Competitors must carry mandatory kit, including a backpack, head torch, map, compass, whistle, mobile phone, and basic first aid supplies. This is a cup-free event; participants must bring their own reusable cup.

Finisher Rewards
