Trail Running calendar near Qualicum Beach 2026-2027

Run Saysutshun is a coastal single track loop around Saysutshun Island with cedar groves, sandstone cliffs and ocean lookouts. Choose timed or fixed distances from 10 km to 24 hours for a scenic trail and endurance challenge.

July 2026

Trail races at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith with roughly 20 km, 10 km and 1 km options, aid stations and a waterfront barbecue. Course maps and parking are available.

Trail races in Cumberland, B.C. on July 11, 2026, with 15 km, 30 km and 50 km options on singletrack. Village Park hosts the start and finish with music, food and a beer garden.

A looped ultra where runners complete 6.706 km yards each hour until one competitor remains. Trail and field terrain at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds, with on-site support, camping and limited entry transfers.

August 2026

Vertical kilometre on Mount Elphinstone with summit views over Howe Sound and Tetrahedron Provincial Park. Limited to 60 runners, entries open 30 March.

September 2026

A 21 km trail race and relay around Mt. Gardner on Bowen Island, typically held on Labour Day Saturday. The 2026 event is listed for September 5 with registration opening April 21, 2026.

The 23rd Perseverance Trail Run in Cumberland on September 26, 2026 supports the Cumberland Community Forest Society. Trail races of 3K, 6K and 12K with team fundraising and volunteer opportunities.

October 2026

Season finale in Qualicum Bay on October 24, 2026, featuring multiple trail distances, aid stations, a banquet awards evening and a Halloween costume contest with prizes.

March 2027

Island trail races on Hornby Island on March 13, 2027, with 50 km and 25 km routes across forest and coastal bluffs. Aid stations, reusable-cup policy, drop bags for 50 km; participants must be on the island the night before.

May 2027

A 5K obstacle course and festival at Laketown Ranch featuring over 25 obstacles, an inflatable waterslide, mud pits and a free kids zone. Camping, group rates and a promoter program paying five dollars per ticket are available.
