Trail Running calendar near Lake Cowichan 2026-2027

The Elphinstone Ascent is a vertical kilometre on Mount Elphinstone near Gibsons on 1 August 2026. Limited to 60 runners, it includes a King and Queen of the Mountain classification and a GPX route is provided.

Trail races at Cobble Hill Mountain offering long, short and kids distances with aid stations and a cupless policy. Bib pickup requires government photo ID and parking is only in designated nearby areas.

A 21 km trail loop around Mt. Gardner on Bowen Island with a relay option, held on the Labour Day long weekend and sanctioned by BC Athletics.

Trail races at Goldstream Provincial Park on September 12 and 13, 2026. Options include 28 km, 50 km, 50 mile and a double with substantial elevation and multiple aid stations.

Track event in Duncan BC on September 19 2026 offering 3, 6, 12 and 24 hour races plus a virtual option and the ACU 100 km championship. Proceeds benefit the Victoria Hospitals Foundation.

Season finale in Qualicum Bay on October 24, 2026, featuring multiple trail distances, aid stations, a banquet awards evening and a Halloween costume contest with prizes.

Trail races at Royal Roads University in Victoria BC offer three distances on single-track campus trails, one aid station on the long route, a cupless policy, on-site parking, post-race food and prize draws.

A 5K foam event at Laketown Ranch on May 29 2027 featuring about 25 obstacles and 2.5 million cubic feet of foam. Spectators attend free and a participant camping option is available the night before.

Trail races in Port Alberni in June 2027 include a 22 km long course, a 10 km short course and a 1 km kids race. The event at EJ Dunn Elementary School Track features aid stations, a cupless policy and downloadable course maps.

Trail running event in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast offering marathon, half marathon, 10 km and a kids race on 5 June 2027. The event uses local trails and works with sponsors and the Coast Mountain Bike Trails group.
