Vancouver Island Trail Running Series - Port Alberni

This event takes place in June 2027 at the EJ Dunn Elementary School Track, 3500 Argyle St, Port Alberni, BC. It is held on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Tseshaht and Hupačasath First Nation; the organisers note a commitment to respect and care for the land.

Distances offered:

  • Long course: 22 km, 500 m vertical gain, 4 aid stations.
  • Short course: 10 km, 220 m vertical gain, 2 aid stations.
  • Kids race: 1 km, registration fees support the Alberni Valley Rescue Squad.

The event is cupless; participants should bring a reusable drinking container or purchase a cup on site. Course maps and Strava routes are available for download.

Participants are required to show a government-issued photo ID to receive their race bib. There is ample street parking nearby; attendees must observe No Parking signs and avoid parking at the Gymnastics or Rugby Club.
