Hornby Island - Coastline Endurance Running
The event takes place on Hornby Island, British Columbia, on March 13, 2027, with start and finish at Joe King Park. The routes travel through mossy forest, rugged coastal bluffs and runnable trail sections, and include steep climbs and scenic viewpoints depending on the distance.
Distances offered:
- 50 km: full island tour, roughly 1,393 m elevation gain.
- 25 km: roughly 806 m elevation gain, with steep climbs and coastal views.
There are four fully stocked aid stations on the 50 km course and one on the 25 km course. Aid stations will not provide disposable cups; participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. Drop bags are permitted for the 50 km only. Crews are not allowed for either distance.
Bib pickup requires a government-issued photo ID and provides a wristband for access to food. Pre-race coffee and pancakes and post-race warm food and beer are available. Hiking poles are allowed; users should be mindful of runners behind them.
Access to the island requires ferry transfers via Buckley Bay and Denman Island. Participants need to be on the island the night before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
