The 5K Foam Fest - Vancouver Island, BC

The event takes place at Laketown Ranch Music & Recreation Park, Youbou Road, Lake Cowichan, BC, Canada on May 30, 2026. It is a 5 km obstacle course run with more than 25 obstacles, mud pits and foam zones totaling 2.5 million cubic feet. Organizers note an inflatable waterslide described as the world’s largest.

The festival area features live music, food vendors, local vendors and a beer garden. A free kids zone for children aged 6 and under offers a mini inflatable obstacle course and a bounce house; adult supervision is required in that zone.

Participation rules are provided at registration: entrants must be at least 7 years old to run; those aged 7 to 12 must run with a registered adult; participants aged 13 to 17 do not require a chaperone but must follow course rules. Waivers for participants under 18 must be signed by a legal guardian. Obstacles are optional.

Registration fees include the run, a festival wristband, string bag, buff, finisher’s medal, Foam Fest tattoo, water stations, shower station, change room access, festival area access, the free kids zone and a free finish line photo; course photos are available for purchase. Entries are nonrefundable and transfer options are available.
