The 5K Foam Fest - Vancouver Island, BC

This event takes place at Laketown Ranch Music & Recreation Park in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia on May 29, 2027. It is a 5K obstacle course fun run featuring more than 25 obstacles, including a large inflatable waterslide, mud pits and about 2.5 million cubic feet of foam. The site includes live music, food vendors, local sellers and a beer garden.

Obstacles are optional and the course may be walked or run at participants' own pace. Children aged 6 and under may not run the course but have free access to a supervised kids zone. Participants must be at least 7 years old to run; ages 7 to 12 must run with a registered adult, while ages 13 to 17 do not require an adult chaperone but must follow course rules. Waivers for minors must be signed by a legal guardian. The organizer notes the activity carries risks of injury or death.

Registration includes a festival wristband, string bag, buff, finisher's medal, Foam Fest tattoo, water stations, shower station, change room access, festival area access, free kids zone and a free finish line photo; course photos are available for purchase. The listed price for one entry is CA$58.05. No refunds are offered, though transfer options exist. Run Saysutshun is a coastal single track loop around Saysutshun Island with cedar groves, sandstone cliffs and ocean lookouts. Choose timed or fixed distances from 10 km to 24 hours for a scenic trail and endurance challenge.

Trail races at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith with roughly 20 km, 10 km and 1 km options, aid stations and a waterfront barbecue. Course maps and parking are available.

Trail races at Cobble Hill Mountain offering long, short and kids distances with aid stations and a cupless policy. Bib pickup requires government photo ID and parking is only in designated nearby areas.
