Event summary

The Roller Coaster Trail Run is a trail running event held in the Dandenong Ranges National Park, near Kalorama, Victoria. The event village is at Kalorama Memorial Reserve, 1190-1192 Mount Dandenong Tourist Rd, Kalorama VIC 3766. The event was established in 2012 and attracts more than 1,200 runners. It is located less than one hour's drive from the Melbourne CBD. The event acknowledges that it is held on Wurundjeri land and recognises Traditional Owners.

  • 46k - Double loop ultra: complete the 23k loop, then repeat it in reverse.
  • 23k - Single loop: undulating trails through ferny forest, with over 1150 m of vertical gain.
  • 12k - Twilight Mad Mouse: includes Observatory Track climb, Burkes Lookout view, and Zig Zag Track descent.
  • 1.23k - Kids Carousel: a friendly looped course around Kalorama Reserve for children.
