About the race
Salomon Warburton Trail Fest 2027 is a three-day trail running festival held in Warburton, Victoria (3455-3457 Warburton Hwy). The event runs across the March long weekend, featuring a mix of single-day races and multiday entry options that combine several races over the weekend.
The festival programme includes the following distances and event types:
- 50 km ultra (Lumberjack Run)
- 27 km Redwoods Rush
- 22 km Donna Double (part of the Golden Trail National Series)
- 14 km Sawmill Grove run
- 8 km night run (Little Joe’s Night Terror)
- 4.5 km River Rapid runs
- 3 km Lilo Derby
- Three Thong Thang thong race and other festival activities
Two multiday packages are offered: Multiday Madness (combines 50 km, 22 km, 8 km night run, Three Thong Thang and Lilo Derby for an advertised total of 80 km) and the new Multiday Magic (27 km, 14 km, 8 km night run and Lilo Derby for an advertised total of 52 km). The festival also lists a night run, film screening, seminars, and ancillary events such as the lilo derby and thong race.
Accommodation in Warburton is limited over the long weekend; the organisers note standard local options and a fundraising campsite on the Warburton Primary School oval. The event has a refund policy: refunds less an admin fee are available only before midnight 6 February; after that date refunds and transfers to future events are not offered.
